TCL CrystalClip Headphones: Swarovski Crystals Meet Open-Ear Audio

BARCELONA – At Mobile World Congress 2026, TCL unveiled the CrystalClip, a striking pair of open-ear headphones adorned with Swarovski crystals. The unique clip-on design, resembling earrings, immediately caught the eye amidst a showcase of various gadgets.

Design and Comfort

The CrystalClip features a white-and-silver color scheme with a distinctive clip-on design. One end of the headphones sits inside the ear, while the other rests on the outside, connected by a stem. A flower charm, embellished with a large central crystal surrounded by smaller crystals on the petals, adds to the aesthetic. The charm is removable for a more understated glance.

Initial impressions suggest a comfortable and secure fit, although some users may require a few attempts to properly position the headphones.

Audio Performance and Features

The CrystalClip utilizes an open-ear design, meaning they don’t block the ear canal like traditional earbuds such as the Apple AirPods Pro. This allows users to remain aware of their surroundings. Audio is delivered through speakers positioned inside the ear. During a demonstration at TCL’s event, the sound quality was reported as clear. However, at higher volumes, it became difficult to hear conversations.

The headphones offer up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge, extending to 36 hours with the charging case. They include on-device controls for music playback and calls, tap gesture activation for virtual assistants like Siri or Gemini and real-time language translation capabilities.

Availability

While the TCL CrystalClip has generated significant buzz, a TCL spokesperson indicated that a US launch is still under consideration, with no confirmed timing or pricing currently available. The company recognizes the importance of design in wearable technology, emphasizing that even the most advanced product will fail if it isn’t appealing to wear.

TCL at Mobile World Congress 2026

The CrystalClip was just one of several innovations showcased by TCL at Mobile World Congress 2026. TCL CSOT also unveiled its Super Pixel technology, aiming to push the boundaries of display performance with increased clarity, smart power usage, and rapid refresh rates (TechPowerUp). Other highlights included advancements in 5G RedCap, AI innovations, and a continued commitment to sustainability (TCL Global).
