Jaren Jackson Jr. and Paolo banchero are both expressing strong interest in representing Team USA at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, following their experience at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Speaking to Olympics.com at the NBA London Game 2026, Jackson Jr. stated, “I would drop everything to go do that, and they know that.”

The Memphis Grizzlies center also referenced the team’s disappointing finish at the 2023 FIBA world Cup,where Team USA placed fourth. “I definitely would want some get back from how we ended without a doubt,” he said. Despite the outcome, Jackson Jr. emphasized the positive aspects of the experience, highlighting the opportunity to travel, experience different cultures, and play alongside talented teammates and coaches. “But the experience was amazing, seeing countries, seeing places I’ve never seen before, playing with amazing players and coaches, and just being unified, it was huge.”

Banchero, the Orlando Magic forward, also competed in the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Both players are expected to be key contenders for roster spots as Team USA looks to rebuild and contend for gold at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
