Ripple and Arf Partner for RLUSD Cross-Border Capital

Arf and Ripple are launching a partnership to support cross-border payments using short-term working capital denominated in RLUSD on the XRP Ledger, boerse-express.com reported. The collaboration brings practical utility to the forefront for XRP investors by separating network infrastructure from the specific asset used for financing.

Short-Term Operating Capital for Global Payments

The new financing offering targets licensed businesses operating in the cross-border payments sector. Participating companies receive short-term capital allocations that are actively used and repaid as their underlying payment transactions clear. By integrating liquidity provision directly into the payment execution cycle, the system focuses strictly on operational settlement rather than general credit lines. While the XRP Ledger supplies the underlying technical architecture, both partnering firms explicitly designated RLUSD as the financing asset for these transactions.

Validator Support Drops for Ledger Upgrade

Technical changes on the network faced a setback this week as a planned ledger modification lost essential validator backing. Support for the fixCleanup3_4_0 proposal fell to 26 out of 35 active validators, missing the threshold of 29 required votes. This drop in consensus automatically reset the activation countdown. Network participants had previously tracked November 4 at 14:46 UTC as the earliest theoretical activation window, but that timeline remains dependent on securing and sustaining sufficient validator approval.

What Asset and Validator Votes Are Required?

What asset is used for the new Arf and Ripple financing offering?

Financing and capital distribution for the cross-border payment program will utilize RLUSD rather than native network tokens, as announced by the partner companies.

How many validator votes are currently required for the fixCleanup3_4_0 update?

The network upgrade requires approval from 29 out of 35 participating validators. Recent tallies showed support standing at 26 votes, which halted the activation countdown.

When and where is the next Ripple Swell event taking place?

The Ripple Swell conference is scheduled to run from October 27 to October 29 in New York.
