Caterpillar Technical Program Manager Roles: Mossville, IL & Dallas, TX

Caterpillar Inc. Is currently seeking Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to join its team in Mossville, Illinois, or Dallas, Texas. These roles focus on leading complex projects from inception to launch, requiring a strong technical background and the ability to deliver results within ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

As a TPM at Caterpillar, key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with product and engineering management to define achievable milestones and roadmaps.
• Managing project timelines, identifying dependencies, and tracking risks and opportunities.
• Developing and maintaining detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, budgets, and resource plans.
• Managing relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
• Facilitating meetings and providing regular status updates.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Knowledge of effective project management strategies.
• Strong communication and cross-team integration skills.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies.

Preferred Experience

Caterpillar is particularly interested in candidates with:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in the Construction or Mining Industry.
• Experience with Wheel Loaders, Excavators, Hydraulic Mining Shovels, or Tracked Loaders.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $128,470.00 – $208,770.00. Caterpillar offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, 401(k) savings plans, health savings accounts, and tuition reimbursement.
