The police moved to investigate the case of throwing acid with acid on other students on Jalan Cempaka Raya, Cempaka Putih Barat, Central Jakarta. Three perpetrators have now been arrested.
“Yes, he has been arrested,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Roby Heri Saputra when contacted, Monday (9/2/2026).

Roby said that the two perpetrators were still minors. Currently the case is being handled by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim PPA Unit.
“Two minors,” he said.
The actions of the three of them went viral on social media as seen detikcomSunday (8/2). Three students in school uniforms were seen riding a motorbike. They stopped at the side of the road until they continued their journey.
However, when they passed other students who were also riding in threes from the opposite direction, they appeared to have grazed the victim’s motorbike and poured liquid from a bottle.
The liquid that was splashed hit students who were traveling in the opposite direction. Meanwhile, the three students involved in the sprinkling continued to leave the scene.
“Essentially, these three people were riding on a motorbike, then they ran into three other people, teenagers too. Then they were doused,” said Roby, Sunday (8/2).
Police said one of the victims suffered an eye injury and received medical treatment. He said one of the victims was already at home.
“Now he is at home. Yesterday he was hospitalized for a while, but after that he went home,” he said.
