Tet Launches AI Platform, Tet GPT, for Secure Data Analysis

Latvian telecommunications and technology company Tet has implemented an artificial intelligence (AI) platform for company data, known as Tet GPT. The platform aims to provide organizations with access to large language models while maintaining data security and control.

Secure AI Access and Data Control

Tet GPT allows organizations to access a variety of large language models in one place. A key feature of the platform is its ability to keep data within the company’s IT environment or process it locally within Tet Cloud infrastructure in Latvia. This ensures sensitive information remains within the organization’s digital environment and the country, and is not used for further training of AI models. Tet Cloud provides colocation, telecommunications services, and compute resources.

AI Agents for Specialized Tasks

The platform enables employees to create specialized AI agents for specific tasks, including document analysis, invoice data verification, cybersecurity incident evaluation, and customer communication analysis. By connecting AI with a company’s internal knowledge base, Tet GPT provides answers and analysis based on the organization’s data, rather than relying on general internet information.

Targeted at Larger Organizations

Tet is primarily targeting companies and public institutions with at least 50 employees who handle large volumes of information daily. The platform offers a flexible cost model, with companies paying only for actual usage, eliminating the need for fixed user licenses.

From Internal Tool to Commercial Service

Tet GPT initially began as an internal tool to improve employee efficiency. Seeing growing interest from other organizations, Tet decided to offer it as a commercial service. The service is already being used by several Latvian municipal authorities and large private companies.

AI as Essential Infrastructure

Uldis Tatarchuk, CEO of Tet, emphasizes the growing importance of AI as essential infrastructure for the economy. He highlights the need for organizations to not only utilize powerful AI tools but as well maintain control over their data and its usage. “Tet GPT allows you to combine the capabilities of the world’s leading AI models with a secure, controlled environment suitable for the needs of companies and state institutions,” Tatarchuk stated. Tet rebranded from Lattelecom on April 1, 2026.

Growing User Base and Efficiency Gains

According to Pauls Jansons, director of Tet’s artificial intelligence development department, Tet GPT was used by around 100 internal users in early 2024. Since the introduction of AI agent functionality, the user base has increased more than fourfold. Employee surveys indicate that users save between 15 minutes and two hours per day using the tool, with some reporting up to a 50% optimization of their work processes.

Financial Performance

The Tet group reported preliminary turnover of over 301.9 million euros in the previous year, with profits exceeding 20 million euros, representing a more than 12% increase. In 2024, the group’s turnover reached 321.365 million euros, a 10.2% increase, while profits rose by 63.2% to 18.027 million euros. Tet’s individual turnover in 2024 was 185.389 million euros, a slight decrease from 2023, while the company’s profit decreased by 35.3% to 12.288 million euros.

Ownership Structure

Tet is owned by SIA “Public asset manager “Possessor”” (51%) and “Tilts Communications,” a subsidiary of Telia Company (49%).

Export Potential

Tet has begun offering Tet GPT in export markets, including Ukraine, recognizing its potential for international adoption.
