On April 9, 2027, Paramount Pictures will unveil “Get Lite,” the first feature film directed by Teyana Taylor, on the big screen. A multi-talented artist recognized for her musical career as well as her cinematic performances, here she marks her debut as both a director and executive producer.

The film tells the story of an exceptionally gifted, but deeply lonely, dance student. His life takes a decisive turn when he discovers, in the heart of the New York subway, an unexpected space where he can express himself artistically, forge connections and build a kind of family. Combining dance, music and a rich palette of emotions, the story addresses universal themes such as isolation, the need for human connection and the liberating power of creativity.

The production is completed by the participation of Kenya Barris and Anni Weisband for Khalabo Ink Society, Robyn Simpson for A Seed & Wings Productions, and Bill Karesh for Offbrand.
