The studio confirmed that the upcoming open-world crime epic will retail above the traditional industry baseline, pricing the Standard edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate edition at $99.99.
GTA 6 Pricing and Editions
Rockstar Games announced the official pricing structure for Grand Theft Auto 6, ending years of speculation across the industry regarding triple-A video game costs. According to details shared by Rockstar Games, the Standard edition will cost $79.99, while the Ultimate edition will be priced at $99.99. The Ultimate edition bundles a series of in-game benefits tied directly to protagonists Lucia and Jason, unlocking specific vehicles, outfits, weapons, and additional items across different chapters of the story.
Players who pre-order either the Standard or Ultimate edition before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, which contains a collection of 1980s-themed retro items. Furthermore, digital pre-orders grant an immediate one-month subscription to GTA+, allowing users to access GTA 5 and other classic titles within the subscription library right away.
Digital Launch and Disc Details
Physical media collectors will see a shift in how Grand Theft Auto 6 arrives on launch day. According to Rockstar Games, the game will not feature a traditional disc version at launch. Instead, physical boxes purchased at retail will contain a digital download code. Pre-loading for both digital pre-orders and physical box codes will begin on November 12, 2026, exactly one week before the official worldwide release.
The initial release will focus entirely on the single-player campaign, with Rockstar Games noting in a press release that the title features the biggest and most immersive evolution of the franchise to date. A separate rollout for the multiplayer component, GTA Online, will follow at a later date.
Pre-Order Availability
Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 open at midnight local time on June 25 across major digital storefronts. Players can secure their copies through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store, and participating global retailers ahead of the November launch date.
