Davis stated that the condition is incurable and that it was too late for chemotherapy. She noted that standing and walking for extended periods can be difficult, requiring her to use a wheelchair at times.
“The initial lump that I felt, wasn’t a ‘lump’ as such; rather a kind of hard spot. Really tiny. I almost didn’t bother getting it checked. So I guess I’m saying don’t ignore anything – get everything checked out,” Davis wrote on Instagram, as cited by the Irish Mirror.

Her character’s slow-burn romance with Tim Canterbury, played by Martin Freeman, concluded with a fan-favorite happy ending in the show’s Christmas special.
