The Rascalz Seamlessly Retain Theme Music in AEW Transition
The Rascalz – Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, and Myron Reed – have successfully maintained their signature theme music upon joining All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in January 2026, not through a costly music rights acquisition, but due to a pre-existing licensing agreement.
Existing License Facilitated Music Transfer
According to Fightful Select, AEW was able to utilize The Rascalz’s theme without incurring additional expenses because the track was already part of a music library the company had previously licensed Fightful. This meant no further purchase of rights was necessary for its use in AEW programming.
AEW Debut and Early Success
Xavier, Wentz, and Reed debuted in AEW shortly after signing with the promotion. They recently secured a future AEW Tag Team Championship match by defeating FTR on a recent episode of Collision, with assistance from The Young Bucks Fightful.
Trey Miguel’s Departure and Return to TNA
Trey Miguel was initially slated to join The Rascalz in AEW, but was released by Warner Bros. Discovery due to concerns over past social media posts Fightful. Following a brief hiatus from wrestling, Miguel returned to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) – formerly Impact Wrestling – and won the International Championship from Stacks at No Surrender earlier in February 2026 Fightful.
Dezmond Xavier’s Wrestling Journey
Deveon Everhart Aikens, known as Dezmond Xavier, has a diverse wrestling background. He began his career in 2011 and has competed in various promotions, including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), where he and Zachary Wentz were PWG World Tag Team Champions Wikipedia. He signed with Impact Wrestling in April 2017 and later moved to WWE in December 2020 as Wes Lee, achieving NXT North American Champion and two-time NXT Tag Team Champion status Wikipedia. Following his release from WWE in October 2025, he returned to Impact Wrestling in November 2025 before joining AEW in January 2026 Wikipedia.
