Hektor Kapustík Disqualified from Lillehammer World Cup Qualification
LILLEHAMMER, Norway – Slovak ski jumper Hektor Kapustík was disqualified from the qualification round for Sunday’s FIS Ski Jumping World Cup event in Lillehammer, Norway, due to equipment violations. Officials determined his boots did not meet the required specifications.
Kapustík achieved a jump of 113 meters during the qualification on the large hill, a distance that would have likely prevented him from advancing to the main competition nonetheless of the disqualification. He had previously competed in the opening World Cup race of the season on Saturday, finishing in 50th place.
