Dear Members,

Opportunities to rejoice have become far too rare for a long time not to shy away from our pleasure of highlighting the 2 good news of the week:

Firstly, the vote on the national finance law will allow the deployment of the 5-year economic overhaul plan proposed last December by the Prime Minister: strengthening attractiveness in order to promote job creation, investing in infrastructure, creating a reinforced system to overcome insurability difficulties, allowing the nickel sector to regain its profitability, opening new future prospects for New Caledonian youth and supporting Caledonian public finances which are drained. In total, this plan is estimated at more than 260 billion CFP over 5 years.

Secondly, our insistence on the subject is perhaps not unrelated, the government published a press release to affirm its desire to maintain the exceptional job retention allowance system and to present an amendment to this effect during the next public session in Congress.
