CD Projekt has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered will launch on September 29 at 12:00 CEST, unlocking simultaneously for players in the Czech Republic and globally across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. For owners of the original game, the upgraded version will be available as a free upgrade across most platforms.

The updated package combines the base game with both previously released expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. On PC, the remaster will also debut on Battle.net for the first time. Pre-orders are restricted to Nintendo Switch 2 and Battle.net because those specific platforms did not host the original release. GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, and PlayStation users will receive the remaster as a direct update to their existing game files, meaning those platforms will not support pre-loading.
Gameplay Upgrades and Content Additions
The refreshed fantasy RPG brings extensive modifications to graphics, performance, and core mechanics. CD Projekt outlined improvements including refined combat systems, smoother movement, optimized exploration mechanics, new visual effects for Witcher signs, and a redesigned horse-riding control scheme.

Additional enhancements feature improved monster behavior, a reorganized skill tree, a transmog system, an expanded photo mode, and fresh execution animations. Looking ahead on the roadmap, CD Projekt announced that a subsequent expansion titled Songs of the past will arrive in 2027.
