Heat-Resistant Blooms: Pompadours, Lantanas, adn Buddlejas for a Vibrant Garden
If you are looking for species that are easy to care for, resistant to heat and with showy flowers, there are three that cannot be missed: pompadours, lantanas and buddlejas. Each one brings color, life and movement to the garden.
Copetes or Tagetes
The pompadours, known as Tagetes poetica and Tagetes erecta, stand out for their flowers in yellow, orange, red and copper tones. They work like a real magnet for butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects.
December is ideal for sowing them because the heat accelerates their germination,which usually appears between 5 and 10 days. They bloom approximately 45 days after sowing and maintain flowers from spring to fall.
Tagetes
Where to plant them
They need full sun and well-drained soil. With little light, plants grow weakly and flower less. They adapt to flower beds, pots, borders and orchards.
Basic care
* Moderate irrigation, without flooding.
* Water preferably in the morning.
* remove dried flowers to stimulate new blooms.
* Balanced fertilizer to enhance growth.

Lantana
The lantana surprises with its multicolored flowers that change color over time. The same bouquet can combine yellow, orange, red and pink, which creates a unique visual effect.
It is a perennial plant, very resistant to heat and drought once established. In warm climates, it blooms from spring until well into fall.
