BEAMS BOY and TIMEX Launch Collaborative Camper Ring Watch

BEAMS BOY and TIMEX have partnered to release a unique take on the classic TIMEX Camper watch: a fully functional ring watch. This collaboration celebrates BEAMS’ 50th anniversary and reimagines the military-inspired timepiece as a wearable piece of jewelry.

A Decade in the Making

The BEAMS BOY x TIMEX Camper Ring Watch is the result of over a decade of requests from BEAMS buyers. The primary challenge was fitting a fully functional Japanese quartz movement into a significantly reduced structure. The resulting design blends the high-visibility dial of the original Camper with a playful, jewelry-like aesthetic.

Design and Features

The ring watch features a lightweight resin case in olive green, mirroring the original Camper’s colorway. It retains the classic Camper dial and a crown at the three o’clock position for time adjustment. Instead of a traditional nylon strap, the ring utilizes a stainless steel expansion band designed to comfortably fit ring sizes 9 through 15. The flexible band eliminates the demand for link removal or addition.

Availability and Pricing

The BEAMS BOY x TIMEX Camper Ring Watch will be available starting April 3rd, exclusively through BEAMS. It is priced at ¥19,140, which is approximately $120 USD. Currently, the watch is available for reservation in BEAMS stores across Japan. [HiConsumption] [Hypebeast]

Ring Watch Trend

This collaboration isn’t an isolated incident. Ring watches have been gaining traction as a trend, with other brands like Casio and Breda also releasing their own versions. BEAMS has previously collaborated on ring watch designs with MM6 Maison Margiela and released three mini Cavatina ring watches. [Hypebeast]
