Tom De Cock eliminated from De Verraders after tense round table vote
Tom De Cock was eliminated from the television program The Traitors after receiving the most votes against him at a dramatic round table, Leuven Actueel reported. De Verraders plays out as a psychological game of lies, distrust, and strategy where a secret group of traitors tries to eliminate fellow contestants while faithful contestants known as allies attempt to unmask them. During Sunday night’s episode, contestants voted out the person they suspected of being a traitor. De Cock defended himself vigorously, but he could not prevent his elimination after actress Veerle Dobbelaere steered the discussion and rallied other players to target him.
Thomas Smith joins the traitors and targets Tom and Shauna
While De Cock faced pressure at the round table, Thomas Smith chose to join the duistered camp and become a traitor, according to TVvisie. Smith admitted to feeling nervous during his first breakfast as a traitor, noting that he was shaking, but he quickly embraced his new role. His first targets were Tom De Cock and Shauna. During a subsequent mission, players chose between a safe shield and a riskier dagger, resulting in shields going to traitors Thomas Smith and Stephanie. Kürt and other traitors later celebrated the successful outcome of their strategy during a conclave.
Deadlock voting ends in Tom De Cock’s exit
Tensions peaked at the round table as Veerle Dobbelaere faced sharp criticism from Bert, Faroek, and Goedele regarding her role in the game. Veerle defended herself and deflected suspicion back toward Tom De Cock, who immediately fired back that the evidence against her was just as strong. The vote resulted in a five-to-five tie between Veerle and Tom, leaving Noah with the deciding vote. Noah chose to eliminate Tom. Following his banishment, a disappointed De Cock criticized his fellow allies for falling onto what he called the Tom-train.
