Introducing JTO Insights: The Official Podcast of the Journal of Thoracic Oncology
The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) has launched JTO Insights, the official podcast of the Journal of Thoracic Oncology (JTO). Hosted by Dr. Alex Adjei and Dr. Tom John, the podcast aims to provide expert discussions of the most impactful research published in JTO.
Each episode of JTO Insights explores selected articles from the latest issue of the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, discusses the clinical significance of new research, and highlights emerging directions in thoracic oncology. The first episode features two vital studies from the April 2026 issue of JTO.
In the inaugural episode, Timothy F. Burns discusses the efficacy and safety of olomorasib in combination with pembrolizumab for patients with KRAS G12C-mutant advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Paaladinesh Thavendiranathan examines cardiovascular risks in patients with thymoma or thymic carcinoma receiving cancer therapy.
Dr. Tom John, a medical oncologist and translational researcher at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, shared his enthusiasm for the project on LinkedIn, stating: “Lovely to launch this new International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer podcast. Each month we will be discussing key articles featured in the Journal of Thoracic Oncology. Hoping it will be a useful resource for patients and clinicians.”
