National Kidney Week in Toulon: Information and Screening Available
Residents of Toulon have the opportunity to learn about kidney health and get screened for kidney disease during National Kidney Week. Professionals from the Centre Hospitalier Intercommunal Toulon – La Seyne-sur-Mer are hosting an information and screening morning on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 9 a.m. To 1 p.m. In the hall of Sainte-Musse hospital.
What to Expect at the Screening
The event will feature information stands dedicated to kidney health, screenings for potential issues, and practical advice on how to maintain kidney health in daily life. The goal is to raise public awareness about kidney disease and encourage early detection.
Why Early Detection Matters
Chronic kidney disease often develops without noticeable symptoms for a long time. In France, it’s estimated that one in ten people are affected by kidney disease, making early detection crucial for effective management and treatment.
New Online Resource for Kidney Health
A new website dedicated to kidney health has been launched to coincide with National Kidney Week. Accessible at https://monrein.drci-ght83.fr/index.html, the site was developed by the Dialysis and Nephrology Therapeutic Education team at CHITS and the Delegation for Clinical Research and Innovation – GHT Var, in collaboration with ISEN Méditerranée. It aims to inform, raise awareness, and support patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
