Update: The police state at 14.37 that the damage to the tunnel must be investigated before the tunnel can be reopened. At 16.45, there has been no new information about reopening the tunnel. The police have finished at the scene.
There is overtaking in the direction of Sandvika on the old E16. There are long queues on the bypass.

The Oslo police district stated at 1.30pm that a car with a trailer had driven into the tunnel wall in the Sollihøgd tunnel.
– It creates traffic challenges as the tunnel is closed in the direction of Sandvika. No injuries have been reported, says operations manager Sven Christian Maximilian Lie.
Traffic towards Hole appears to be going as normal, according to the Swedish Road Administration’s webcam. The new tunnel that stretches from Bærum to Hole was opened in mid-December.
The emergency services are on the scene, the police said at 2:06 p.m.
– The driver is assisted by health personnel, and driven to the emergency room for an examination. The tunnel is still closed pending recovery of the vehicle involved, writes the operations manager.
The car with trailer is said to have been thrown inside the tunnel, and has run into both sides of the tunnel wall.

This is the new way
Here are some facts about the new road:
- 8.4 kilometers long
- Two tunnels: the Sollihøgd tunnel of 3.4 km and the Bukkestein height tunnel of 800 meters

- For a car with a bomb tag/discount, it will cost NOK 40.80 to pass one way (NOK 51 without discount)
- The speed limit will initially be 100 km/h on the four-lane road
- The road system includes 173 cameras, 88 emergency stations, 401 lane signals and 40 barriers
- 270 kilometers of cables have been laid in the two tunnels
- It has been calculated that the driving time will decrease by approximately four minutes, but just as important is that the road will be much safer
