The number of people who signed a national petition calling for a National Assembly hearing on the ‘death case of a minor actress’ sister exceeded 10,000 in just one week.
As of the afternoon of the 2nd, more than 17,000 people had agreed to the petition demanding an investigation into the truth of the incident on the National Assembly Public Consent Petition bulletin board.
The incident occurred 16 years ago, in 2009.
It all started when a woman who was working as a minor actress was subjected to group sexual violence by the manager and 12 officials.
The woman reported her victimization to the police, but was subjected to secondary abuse by men and eventually passed away in 2009.
This woman’s younger sister also followed her sister to heaven out of guilt for having introduced her to a part-time job as a minor actor.
The two sisters’ mother demanded that the police reveal the truth.
Accordingly, the police formed a fact-finding task force, but it was of no use as the statute of limitations had expired.
The petitioner requested, “Please reveal how the charges against the perpetrators were withdrawn by public authorities and the background to the deaths of the two sisters.”
He added, “The mother is left alone and continues her lonely fight demanding an apology for human rights violations.”
