Falls Church, Virginia – TRICARE beneficiaries in Pennsylvania can now receive emergency prescription refills through March 5, 2026, due to the ongoing winter storm, the Defense Health Agency (DHA) announced.
The emergency refill authorization applies to all counties within Pennsylvania. Beneficiaries seeking refills should present their prescription bottle to any TRICARE retail network pharmacy. If a prescription bottle is unavailable, damaged, or the label is missing, beneficiaries should contact Express Scripts, Inc., or their retail network pharmacy for assistance.
How to Obtain an Emergency Refill
TRICARE beneficiaries can utilize the following methods to obtain an emergency prescription refill:
- Visit a Network Pharmacy: Take the prescription bottle to any TRICARE retail network pharmacy.
- Contact Express Scripts: If the bottle is unavailable or damaged, contact Express Scripts at 1-877-363-1303.
- Pharmacy Chain Refills: If possible, visit the pharmacy where the prescription was originally filled. Prescriptions from a retail chain can often be filled at another location within that same chain.
- Clinician Assistance: Beneficiaries can ask their prescribing clinician to send a new prescription to any network pharmacy.
