Multiple Injured in Tromsø Fight, Three Arrested
Tromsø, Norway – A violent altercation in Tromsdalen, Tromsø, on Sunday evening left multiple people injured, with three individuals now in police custody. Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information regarding the incident.
Details of the Incident
Police were first alerted to the situation at 6:41 PM local time on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Initial reports indicated two individuals were transported to the hospital, but that number has since risen to three. The extent of the injuries varies, with at least one person’s condition considered serious, according to operations manager Robin Åsheim Lindberg.
“We have several injured people after what we perceive to be a fight between several people,” Lindberg stated in a police log update.
Police estimate that between seven and ten people were involved in the brawl. Investigators are also looking into reports that objects were used during the fight, though no firearms were involved.
Arrests Made
Just before 10:00 PM, police announced the arrest of three individuals suspected of perpetrating the violence. “The police are still working on gathering information about the incident,” Lindberg added.
Witness Appeal
One individual who claims to have been involved in the incident told iTromsø that the altercation involved a disparity in numbers – “eight people against two” – and that they personally sustained injuries, reportedly being struck in the face four to five times. This individual requested anonymity.
