Details of the Crash

According to the Tigard Police Department, Hankins was driving westbound on Southwest Schools Ferry Road when his pickup truck struck a dirt mound. This launched the vehicle approximately 100 feet through the air, clearing a 3-foot retaining wall before crashing into the first-floor bathroom of a residence on the 13000 block of Southwest Larkwood Place .

Video footage of the incident, captured by a doorbell camera, shows the truck flying through the air before impact . Homeowner David Brudnok described the scene, stating, “I didn’t expect a flying truck… I just heard this, BOOM! And the house shakes… I get down the stairs, and I realize the whole front of my house is completely just gone.”

Injuries and Arrest

Both the driver, Jacob Hankins, and his passenger sustained minor injuries and were extracted from the wreckage by firefighters . Hankins was arrested and faces charges of reckless driving and recklessly endangering others.

Family Unharmed

Brudnok, his wife, and their three young children were upstairs at the time of the crash and were thankfully uninjured .
