The Board of Peace was announced by former U.S. President Donald Trump during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2026. At its inaugural meeting held in Washington, D.C. On February 19, 2026, Trump stated that nine member nations had pledged an initial $7 billion toward a Gaza reconstruction fund, with the United States committing $10 billion.
