Growing Relegation Concerns for Grünwettersbach
“We are all shocked at first and had planned today’s game differently,” said Walther, reflecting on the team’s disappointment. He highlighted the ongoing personnel issues as a significant challenge, stating, “We were only able to play with a full team twice in the second half of the season, someone is missing every week, and the pressure is growing for the players at the table.”
Walther acknowledged the severity of their situation, stating, “We’re now talking more about the second division than about the table tennis Bundesliga. We definitely want to stay in the league, but to do that we need the full breadth of the squad.”
