Tunja to Host First Regional Judo Championship in March 2026

Tunja, Boyacá, Colombia, is set to host the first Regional Judo Championship on March 28, 2026. The event, organized by the Liga de Judo de Boyacá, aims to promote judo competition at a regional level, bringing together athletes from various clubs and leagues across the country.

Regional Participation

The championship will welcome participants from Bogotá, Cundinamarca, Casanare, and Meta, alongside local clubs from Boyacá. This initiative is supported by Indeportes Boyacá and the Instituto de Recreación y Deporte de Tunja (IRDET).

Competition Details

The competition will include both Katas and Shiai modalities. Categories will be offered for athletes ranging from Sub-11 to Mayores (Adults), encompassing Sub-13, Sub-15, and Cadetes age groups.
