Two people are in critical condition following a shooting inside a Kroger grocery store in Cypress, Texas, on Wednesday afternoon. Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office officials reported the incident occurred at the Cypresswood Drive location at approximately 2:50 p.m. CT. Investigators are currently working to determine if one of the victims was the shooter.
Emergency Response and Victim Status
Law enforcement arrived shortly after the shooting was reported. Capt. Juan Flores of the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office confirmed that officers discovered two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
The circumstances surrounding the gunfire remain under investigation. One victim managed to walk out of the store before being transported to a hospital. The second victim was discovered inside the building with multiple gunshot wounds and was also transported for emergency medical care. As of Wednesday evening, both individuals remained in critical condition.

No other bystanders or store employees sustained injuries during the incident, according to Capt. Flores. The store, situated in a busy retail area of Cypress, was immediately closed to the public as law enforcement secured the scene to conduct a forensic investigation.
In an official statement regarding the event, Kroger expressed that it was “deeply saddened” by the violence.
