Mules Wrestling Qualifies Six for NCAA Championships
EDMOND, Okla. – The No. 13 University of Central Missouri Mules Wrestling team finished second at the NCAA-II Super Region IV Championships on Sunday, March 1, qualifying six wrestlers for the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships. The championships will be held March 13-14 at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Regional Champions
James Wright (141-pounds) and Torin Forsyth (285-pounds) secured regional championships in their respective weight classes.
Additional Qualifiers
Drew Stanfield (133-pounds), Gage Bernall (165-pounds), Anthony Erickson (184-pounds) and Damon Ashworth (197-pounds) also placed in the top three of their weight classes, earning their spots at the NCAA Championships. This is the most wrestlers UCM Wrestling has qualified since 2009.
Team Results
No. 2 Central Oklahoma won the NCAA-II Super Region IV Championship with 156 total team points. The Mules finished as the runner-up with 132 points, followed by No. 10 McKendree in third place with 112 points.

- 125: Karim Allal placed fourth, scoring 11.5 team points.
- 133: Drew Stanfield scored 13 team points.
- 141: James Wright scored 15 points.
- 149: Trey Dillow placed fifth, contributing 10 team points.
- 157: Ayden Dolt finished fifth, scoring 12.5 team points.
- 165: Gage Bernall placed third, scoring 15.5 team points.
- 174: Anthony Erickson earned third place and 12.5 team points.
- 197: Damon Ashworth placed second, adding 17 team points.
- 285: Torin Forsyth took first place, scoring 16 team points.

The six qualified wrestlers will represent the University of Central Missouri at the NCAA-II Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D., on March 13-14.
