“The Sound Poets” Cellist Undīne Balode-Blisiņa Expecting Third Child
Undīne Balode-Blisiņa, the cellist for the Latvian music group “The Sound Poets,” is expecting a baby with her husband, Raimonds Blisiņš. The couple announced the pregnancy in March 2026, with the due date anticipated in June.
The news was initially reported by the Latvian magazine Privātā Dzīve and shared on social media by Raimonds Blisiņš via Instagram.
A Third Child for the Musician
This will be the third child for Balode-Blisiņa. She has an 18-year-old daughter, Grieta, and a 13-year-old son, Fricis, from a previous marriage with TV and radio presenter Gustavs Terzens. Santa.lv reports that Balode-Blisiņa feels calmer during this pregnancy compared to her first two.
Recent Marriage
Balode-Blisiņa and Raimonds Blisiņš married on May 3, 2025, in Riga. TV3.lv documented the wedding, noting attendees included musician Jānis Aišpurs and singer Aija Andrejeva, as well as actor Kaspars Dumburs and model Alise Otensone.
Continued Performances
Despite her pregnancy, Balode-Blisiņa intends to continue performing with “The Sound Poets” as long as she feels well. She joked that playing the cello allows her to “hide” her condition. Santa.lv quoted her saying, “As long as I feel good, I will perform.”
