Union College has released promotional schedules for the 2026-27 men’s and women’s hockey seasons, featuring postgame skates, military appreciation games, and community giveaways in Schenectady, New York.
Promotion Schedules for Union College Hockey
The Union College men’s and women’s hockey teams announced their promotional lineups for the 2026-27 season, featuring a mix of fan giveaways, community appreciation events, and awareness nights in Schenectady, N.Y. Both programs will host postgame skates, youth sports days, military appreciation days, and faculty and staff appreciation games over the course of the winter schedule.
Specific highlights on the promotional calendar include a free koozie giveaway during the women’s hockey game against St. Lawrence on November 6, a Teddy Bear Toss during the men’s matchup against Harvard on December 5, and a Shayne Gostisbehere bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,000 fans attending the men’s game against St. Lawrence on January 29.
October and November Games Feature Awareness Events
The schedule kicks off with domestic violence awareness games for both squads in October. The men’s team hosts Providence on Friday, October 16, while the women’s team welcomes Quinnipiac on Friday, October 23. The women’s team follows up on Saturday, October 24, with a breast cancer awareness game against Princeton offering free admission, a postgame skate with the team, and a kids’ club postgame trick-or-treat.
Additional awareness dates feature a cystic fibrosis awareness game during the women’s matchup against Clarkson on November 7 and a Salute to Service military appreciation game scheduled for January 2, when the women play Syracuse and the men face Bentley. The women’s team will also host its senior day against Dartmouth on February 13, and the men’s team honors its seniors against Princeton on February 20.
Kids Club Offers Free Admission and Activities
Younger fans have multiple dedicated dates throughout the winter. Fifth-graders and younger can join the free Women’s Hockey Kids Club, which grants members free admission to all regular-season women’s home games alongside several members-only events. Kids’ club activities feature poster decorating on November 7, holiday arts and crafts on November 22, friendship bracelets on January 2, and participation in National Girls and Women in Sports Day on January 30.
Youth sports days are scheduled for the men’s game against Yale on November 20 and the women’s game against Brown on November 22. Free admission games for the women’s team include matchups against Princeton on October 24, Rensselaer on December 1, and Saint Michael’s on January 12.
