The University Choir of the Rostock University of Music and Theater will present its end-of-semester concert on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Nikolaikirche Rostock. The performance promises an evening of profound sacred music, featuring Antonio Vivaldi’s uplifting Gloria in D major and Magnificat, alongside Arvo Pärt’s deeply moving Da Pacem Domine.
The concert will showcase the talents of soloists Anna-Maria Kawatzopoulos (alto), Jeongyin Lee (soprano), and Annemarie Hoffmann (soprano).Leading the choir is Daniel Arnold, who assumed the role of musical director this semester.
Comprised of students from diverse academic backgrounds and varying levels of choral experience, the University Choir is a dynamic ensemble that forms anew each semester. The choir dedicates each semester to developing a unique and compelling concert program.
Admission to the concert is free, though donations to support the choir’s continued work are gratefully accepted.
