Gophers Finish Day Two of Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships Tied for 12th
The University of Minnesota women’s golf team concluded round two of the 2026 Big Ten Conference Championships in a tie for 12th place on Saturday, April 25, at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, California. The Maroon and Gold improved their standing by three spots from Friday’s opening round, posting a team score of 291 (+38) for the day.

Senior Isabella McCauley led the Gophers with an even-par 70, the best individual round for Minnesota in the second round. Her performance placed her in 21st place individually. Other notable contributions included Olivia Deakins, who carded a 2-over-par 72 and sits in 43rd place and Luisamariana Mesones, who recorded a 74 (+4) with four birdies to hold 67th place.
Reese McCauley finished the day in 82nd place after a 75 (+5), while Madison Le ended the round in 85th place with a 13-over-par 83.
No. 2-ranked USC maintained the lead after two rounds with a team score of 279 (-4), paced by Bailey Shoemaker’s 5-under-par 65, which also tops the individual leaderboard.
The final round of the 54-hole stroke play championship is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, with a shotgun start set for 10:00 a.m. Local time. Live coverage of the concluding round will begin at 12:30 p.m. PT on the Big Ten Network.
Admission and parking for spectators remain complimentary throughout the championship, which marks the first time Oakmont Country Club has hosted the Big Ten Women’s Golf Championships.
