UNLV Students Invited to 2026 Day of Service with Spread the Word Nevada
Las Vegas, NV – UNLV students are invited to participate in the 2026 Day of Service, a volunteer opportunity focused on supporting literacy in the local community. The event, held in partnership with Spread the Word Nevada, will use volunteer efforts to prepare gently-used books for distribution to students in need.
Volunteers will work collaboratively to ensure books are in presentable condition for young readers. Tasks include removing stickers and repairing minor damage, such as small tears. This hands-on work directly contributes to Spread the Word Nevada’s mission of providing equitable access to books for all children.
Spread the Word Nevada distributes approximately 70,000 books each month, impacting the lives of countless students in the Las Vegas area. By participating in the Day of service, UNLV students can take advantage of a meaningful opportunity to give back and make a tangible difference.
No prior experiance is necessary, and all instructions will be provided on-site. interested students can preview the volunteer experience through this video.
