Rewire 2026: Pioneering Electronic and Experimental Music Festival Announces Initial Lineup
The Hague, Netherlands, is set to host the forward-thinking Rewire festival from April 9 to 12, 2026, with a diverse initial lineup showcasing electronic music pioneers and boundary-pushing artists. The festival promises a unique program of performances, including exclusive collaborations and world premieres.
Featured Artists and Collaborations
Among the first names announced are the legendary German collective Einstürzende Neubauten, electronic innovator Oneohtrix Point Never, and British producer Blawan. Rewire is known for its unique collaborations, and the 2026 edition continues this tradition.
- SUMAC & Moor Mother: Post-metal band SUMAC will join forces with spokenword artist Moor Mother, following their recent album release, The Film, and a performance at Roadburn.
- Actress & Suzanne Ciani: Electronic music pioneers Actress and Suzanne Ciani will present a collaborative performance.
- billy woods & ØKSE: American underground rapper billy woods will perform with the avant-garde jazz collective ØKSE.
- Xiu Xiu: The band will deliver a special concert in The Hague centered around David Lynch’s film Eraserhead.
- Tortoise: Instrumental post-rock innovators Tortoise will return to the Netherlands for the first time in a decade, supporting their recent comeback album, Touch.
- Caterina Barbieri: Barbieri will perform twice, once with the ONCEIM orchestra, featuring a new composition, and another as a solo set premiering new music.
- Jim O’Rourke & Eiko Ishibashi: This duo will also be performing at the festival.
Additional Performers
The lineup also includes performances by Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Oliver Coates, Joanne Robertson, Los Thuthanaka, Hayden Pedigo, Cara Tolmie & Rian Treanor, Milkweed, james K, Smerz, and Armand Hammer. An electroacoustic set from Beatrice Dillon & Explore Ensemble is also scheduled, as is a performance by The Bug.
