North Texas Basketball Courtside Seats to be Reseated for 2026-27 Season
DENTON, Texas – The University of North Texas (UNT) athletics department is upgrading the courtside seating experience at the Super Pit for the 2026-27 basketball season. The changes include new premium seating options, the removal of courtside tables, and adjustments designed to create a more dynamic atmosphere for fans.
Enhanced Courtside Experience
Courtside guests will enjoy food and beverage service, comfortable upscale seating, and dedicated wait service throughout games. These improvements aim to provide a first-class experience for Mean Green basketball supporters.
Reseating Process
A complete reseating of all courtside seats will take place during the summer of 2026. The process will prioritize Mean Green Athletic Fund donors based on their Priority Point rank, allowing them to select seats in order of their standing. Fans can view their current standing here.
Priority Point Adjustments
Donors can increase their priority points by making additional gifts to the Mean Green Athletic Fund before April 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM. A Priority Points Calculator is available to estimate the impact of additional gifts.
Seat Selection Details
To participate in the re-seat, season tickets for the 2026 basketball season must be renewed or purchased. Accounts can select up to four courtside seats, with a maximum of six seats allowed in the floor area. Seat selections must be made in even numbers (e.g., four courtside seats and two additional floor seats).
Interest Form for Non-Courtside Holders
Fans currently without courtside seats who are interested in upgrading can fill out an interest form.
NIL Collective Donation Adjustment
Donors who have contributed to either of the UNT NIL collectives over the past four years will receive a one-time priority point adjustment of three points for every $100 given. Donors should contact their Mean Green Athletic Fund representative to provide proof of NIL donation.
Super Pit Layout Viewing Event
An in-person viewing event of the new layout at the Super Pit is planned. Details will be announced soon.
Highland Street Parking Reallocation
UNT athletics will also reallocate parking along Highland Street, aligning parking eligibility with current Mean Green Athletic Fund donor levels and priority rankings.
