Hendrick Hundl Named American Conference Indoor Track & Field Outstanding Performer

IRVING, Texas – University of North Texas senior Hendrick Hundl has been recognized as the American Conference’s Men’s Indoor Track Most Outstanding Performance for his record-breaking performance in the 60-Meter Hurdles. The announcement was made on March 4, 2026, by the American Athletic Conference .

Record-Breaking Performance

Hundl secured the gold medal in the 60-meter hurdles at the American Championship meet held in Birmingham, Alabama, with a winning time of 7.70 seconds . This achievement not only earned him the Outstanding Performance award but also shattered his own program record. His time currently ranks 31st nationally in the event .

Award Criteria and Recognition

The American Conference’s Most Outstanding Performance award is presented annually to the athlete who achieves the highest-ranking marks on the NCAA’s Division I performance list during the Championships . Hundl’s exceptional time set him apart as the top performer in the conference.
