UOA Surgeons Recognized as Jersey Choice Top Doctors

University Orthopaedic Associates (UOA) is proud to announce that several of our surgeons have been honored with the prestigious Jersey Choice Top Doctors award, presented by New Jersey Monthly magazine. This award recognizes New Jersey physicians who are highly regarded by their peers for both competence and compassionate care.

Gino Chiappetta, MD – Spine Surgery

Dr. Chiappetta is a board-certified orthopaedic spine surgeon dedicated to providing individualized treatment plans. He tailors each patient’s care to their specific medical needs and recovery goals.

Charles J. Gatt, Jr., MD – Sports Medicine

Dr. Gatt is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He serves as the team physician for athletes at Rutgers University, Rider University, and numerous local high schools. He is also the recipient of the Edward J. III Excellence in Medicine Award for his contributions to the progress of MeniscoFix™, an innovative device designed to restore mobility in patients with severe meniscal knee injuries.

David A. Harwood, MD – Joint Replacement & Arthritis Surgery

dr. Harwood is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement and arthritis surgery. He also holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopaedic surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and serves as section Chief of Orthopaedics.
