Tazza 4: The Belligerent’s Song Brings Back Franchise Crime
According to entertainment reports, the crime franchise Tazza is returning with its fourth installment, titled Tazza 4: The Belligerent’s Song (literal translation of 타짜 4: 벨제붑의 노래). The film marks the return of the series after a six-year hiatus. The plot follows Jang Tae-young, played by Byun Yo-han, who built an online casino empire before losing everything to his close friend Park Tae-young, played by Noh Jae-won, setting off a high-stakes revenge narrative.
Fantasy and Romance Series Target Global OTT Viewers
Television projects in the new lineup lean heavily into fantasy and romance elements. The drama Dive Into You features Cosmic Girls member Bona (Kim Ji-yeon) as Yoon Ha-na, an A-list actor whose body swaps with her brother, Yoon Ha-ru (played by Jang Se-hyuk). Characters utilize an old camcorder for time travel in an attempt to prevent the death of a first love named Jung Woo-jae, portrayed by Park Seo-ham, as reported by industry sources.
Meanwhile, romance drama 사이로 걸어가는 centers on a robotics laboratory setting. The story pairs Park Min-jae, a former swimmer who lost his legs to illness played by Choo Young-woo, with Lim Yu-jin, a graduate student seeking a new path played by Kim So-hyun.
Period Drama Scandal Pairs Ji Chang-wook and Son Ye-jin
The period drama Scandal moves the setting to the Joseon Dynasty. The narrative features a female protagonist, played by Son Ye-jin, who faces social constraints and hires a notorious charismatic male figure, played by Ji Chang-wook, to orchestrate a dangerous game involving the upper class.

Industry trackers note that this slate highlights a broader push toward intellectual property expansion. Webtoon adaptations continue to serve as a primary engine for television production, with 86 webtoon-based series slated for production throughout the year. Production companies are increasingly pairing established franchises with strategic casting choices—including idol-turned-actors—to capture domestic fandoms and secure high visibility on international streaming services where non-English Korean content maintains a strong viewership share.
