US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the United States does not yet know how serious the Russian Federation is about negotiating a settlement to its war against Ukraine, but will continue to check this.

“I don’t think anyone in this room would be against a negotiated settlement to this war if the terms are fair and sustainable. That’s what we’re trying to achieve, and we’ll continue to try to achieve it even if all these other things continue to happen on the sanctions front or whatever,” the secretary of state said.
