Valmiera Theatre Launches Audience Choice Awards for 13th Season

The Valmiera Theatre has once again partnered with the Boris and Inara Tetereva Foundation to invite audiences to vote for their favorite production of the past season. This marks the 13th year the theatre has sought direct feedback from its patrons to determine the “best show” of the year. Voting is open from December 5th to 12th, 2023.

Evita Ashradena, Director of the Valmiera Theatre, emphasized the significance of audience participation. “In a year when Valmiera’s theatre performances are very strong competitors among themselves, undoubtedly also in the context of Latvian performances, it is indeed very interesting for us to offer the choice of the best, favorite, most lovely show to our loyal audience – this year they have been almost 60 thousand,” she stated. “Their emotions, sympathy, tears of emotion are the greatest satisfaction and proof of our strength and power. Thus,together with the Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation we are very much looking forward to their thoughts – it inspires us.”
Awards Ceremony and Audience giveaway
the winning production, as chosen by the audience, will be announced and honored at the Valmiera Theatre’s year-end event on December 28th. during this event, the theatre will also recognise its best artists as selected by their peers. As an incentive to participate, three voters will be randomly selected to receive invitations to a future Valmiera Theatre performance.
