Kiefer Sherwood Trade Rumors Heat up

Maybe it’s time for Kiefer Sherwood to start brushing up on his French.

The vancouver Canucks winger continues to be at the center of trade rumors around the league.

On wednesday, CHEK’s Rick Dhaliwal told listeners of Donnie and Dhali what he was hearing about the Canucks’ pending unrestricted free agent.

“Five to seven teams are in a good position to give the Canucks what they want [for Sherwood], which is a young player rather of draft picks,” Dhaliwal said.

So, which teams might trade a young player to the Canucks for Sherwood?

“I wouldn’t be surprised if two teams showing a lot of interest in Sherwood are Minnesota and Montreal,” he said.

Both teams have been linked to the 30-year-old winger before.

Montreal, especially, has a strong group of young players and assets.
