Fresh Produce Training Seminar Focuses on Vegetable Product Knowledge
Trainees and newcomers to the fruit and vegetable trade will have the opportunity to enhance their foundational knowledge with a two-day seminar, “Product knowledge, focus on vegetables,” scheduled for April 16th and 17th. The seminar will cover essential information regarding the diverse range of vegetables available in the market.
Seminar Details
The seminar will clearly explain the legal requirements and the structure and content of marketing standards relevant to the fresh produce industry. Participants will also learn about aspects of product knowledge, including cultivation practices, harvesting techniques, and the different varieties of commercially important vegetables.
Practical Quality Control
A key component of the seminar will be hands-on practical quality control exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to utilize actual product samples (Warenmustern) during the face-to-face seminar held in Bonn, Germany.
Expert Instruction and Certification
The seminar will be led by speakers from the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE), recognized experts with extensive knowledge of the fruit industry. All participants who complete the seminar will receive a certificate of participation from the German Fruit Trade Association (DFHV). DFHV member companies are eligible for a special seminar fee.
