Vienna Comic Con Celebrates a Decade of Pop Culture Fandom
Vienna Comic Con recently marked it’s 10th anniversary, transforming the Messe Wien exhibition center into a vibrant hub for enthusiasts of comics, gaming, film, adn television. The event, held on November 22nd to 24th, 2024, drew an impressive crowd of over 45,000 attendees who explored 42,000 square meters dedicated to all facets of pop culture.
The convention featured appearances by prominent international stars, including Elijah Wood, known for his iconic role in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Clive Standen of Vikings fame, Jessica Szohr from Gossip Girl, and Kevin McNally, recognized for his work in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. These appearances contributed to packed halls and created memorable experiences for fans.
Beyond celebrity encounters, Vienna Comic Con showcased the creativity and skill of cosplayers, who presented meticulously crafted costumes. A diverse range of competitions and creator-led panels further enriched the program, offering something for every type of fan.
