View Boston to Close Dining Operations, Focus on Events

Changes are coming to View Boston, the attraction atop the Prudential Tower offering sweeping views of the city. The venue is closing its restaurant and bar less than three years after opening to accommodate a growing demand for private events.

Restaurants to Close This Spring

The Beacon Bistro, located on the 50th floor and the Stratus rooftop bar on the 51st floor will cease operations this spring, specifically on April 21, 2026, according to a spokesperson for Legends Global, the company that operates View Boston. [Boston Globe]

Layoffs Announced

History of the Prudential Tower Observatories

View Boston opened in June 2023, replacing the Skywalk Observatory and Top of the Hub restaurant, which had been closed since 2020.
