Valley City state University Track & Field Prepares for 2025 Season

The Valley City State University (VCSU) Track & Field team is gearing up for the 2025 indoor and outdoor seasons, with a strong core of returning athletes. The Vikings will kick off their indoor campaign at the Mike Thorson Invite held at the University of Mary Fieldhouse in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Returning Athletes & Key Performers
The VCSU team boasts a solid foundation with 18 men and nine women returning for the 2025 season.Several athletes are expected to lead the charge, building on successes from the previous year.
Men’s Team:
* Cameron Champagnie: A four-time all-Conference selection, Champagnie is a key athlete for the Vikings. In the 2024-2025 season, he secured conference titles in both the triple jump and long jump.
* Zeke Barnick: Earned All-Conference recognition after finishing second in the high jump last season.
* Jordan Mount: A conference champion in the 400-meter dash, Mount also placed third in the 200-meter.
* Tayshaun Robinson: Achieved All-Conference status with a second-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles.
Women’s Team:

Season Schedule
The Vikings have a busy schedule planned, with eight indoor meets leading up to the Frontier Conference Indoor Championships.
* Indoor Championships: febuary 14th & 15th in Brookings,South Dakota.
The outdoor season will begin on March 21st at the Marauders Outdoor Opener, also held in Bismarck at the University of Mary.
