Villeurbanne, France – Two men are fighting for their lives after a shooting in the Grandclément district of Villeurbanne on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. On Rue Lafontaine, an area known for drug trafficking, according to local reports.

Details of the Shooting

Police responded to reports of gunfire and discovered the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the common areas of a residential building. Both men, aged 19 and 20, sustained serious injuries. One was struck by three bullets to the chest, while the other suffered a single gunshot wound.

Emergency services transported both victims to a hospital, where they remain in critical condition. Their vital prognosis is considered to be at risk, authorities stated on Sunday morning. Le Progrès reported that approximately ten shots were fired, likely from a 9mm semi-automatic weapon.
