Eunha, SinB, and Umji Sign With UNCORE
UNCORE officially announced that it has signed an exclusive contract with Eunha, SinB, and Umji on October 5. The three artists, who debuted together as members of GFRIEND in 2015 and later re-debuted under Big Planet Made Entertainment as VIVIZ in 2022, are now preparing for their next career moves under a different management banner. UNCORE stated that it plans to provide unsparing support across a variety of areas so the members can continue their active group promotions.
Disagreements Over the VIVIZ Group Name
While the members have secured a new home with UNCORE, the trio may not be able to continue performing under the moniker VIVIZ. According to official statements from the new agency, negotiations with their previous management regarding the existing group name stalled due to disagreements over proposed terms, leaving a final agreement unreached. Dispatch reported that the group’s departure from Big Planet Made Entertainment followed a contract termination notice issued in March, where the members cited failures to fulfill settlement payment obligations and management support obligations. A court later ruled in favor of the trio in June, granting a preliminary injunction based on unpaid settlement funds.
Possible Promotions Under a New Team Name
Faced with ongoing naming disputes, UNCORE stated that prioritizing a quick and stable resumption of the artists’ activities remains the top priority. The agency confirmed that it is actively considering promotions under a brand-new group name. Specific details regarding whether the trio will retain their previous title or launch under a fresh banner, along with concrete schedules for their return, will be revealed at a later date. Meanwhile, UNCORE continues to manage other acts, including the Project 7 boy group Close Your Eyes, as it prepares for the trio’s upcoming activities.
