“The issue of losing control over Pokrovsk and Mirnograd, over those small areas that are still under our control, I think is a matter of a few weeks. It may even happen earlier,” he notes.
The expert adds that the nearby villages of Rodinskoe and Grishine are mostly under Russian control. Therefore, it is not possible to provide everything necessary to our group, which operates in the northern and northeastern microdistricts of Pokrovsk and the northwestern suburbs of Mirnograd.
“There are no logistics, there are no resources for conducting defensive battles, it is extremely difficult to maintain a stable defense. Most likely, in the coming days, we will see maneuver defense and retreating battles related to the withdrawal of our forces and means from this section of the front. I think we can talk with a fairly high probability that we will lose control over these settlements,” Seleznev points out.
Russia has a 150,000-strong group in this direction. And most likely, after establishing control over Pokrovsk and Mirnograd, the Russians will move towards Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka, adds the military expert.
“Of course, I do not have inside information from the Russian General Staff, but according to the logic of events, it is obvious: if the priority task for them is an attack on our group, which operates in the area of Konstantinovka, Druzhkovka and the southern part of this urban agglomeration with four “poles”, most likely the enemy will transfer these resources here. That is why in the nearest future the battles for Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka can grow to a rather large scale,” summarizes Vladislav Seleznev.
