Vogelsang-Warsin to Invest in Infrastructure with €97,500 Loan
Vogelsang-Warsin, a municipality in the Ueckermünde region of Germany, has secured approval for a €97,500 loan to fund upgrades to its street lighting and the purchase of a new multi-purpose vehicle. The loan, authorized by the Kommunalaufsicht des Landkreises Vorpommern-Greifswald, requires final approval from the Gemeindevertreter (community representatives).
Infrastructure Improvements Planned
The municipality plans to allocate the loan funds to two key areas: modernizing the existing street lighting infrastructure and acquiring a Multicar. The Multicar will likely serve multiple functions within the community, enhancing operational efficiency. The decision to invest in these improvements reflects the municipality’s commitment to enhancing public services and infrastructure.
Loan Details and Approval Process
The proposed loan terms include a fixed interest rate period of ten years and a repayment rate of 3.5 percent. The Gemeindevertreter will discuss and vote on the loan authorization during their meeting on Tuesday, February 17th. The mayor will be authorized to finalize the investment credit upon approval. The municipality is required to obtain four offers before finalizing the loan agreement.
Land Exchange Under Consideration
In a separate matter, the Gemeindevertreter will also discuss a land exchange in a non-public session. The exchange involves the DBU Naturerbe GmbH, which owns natural heritage areas in the Ueckermünder Heide, and the municipality of Vogelsang-Warsin. Details of the land exchange are not publicly available at this time.
Community Meeting
The Gemeindevertreter and interested residents will convene at 7:00 PM on February 17th in the Multiplen Haus to discuss these matters and other municipal business.
