Volkswagen Recalls Nearly 100,000 EVs Due to Battery Concerns

The German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) initiated the recall after identifying that individual modules within the high-voltage batteries of certain vehicles do not meet specification. The recall encompasses vehicles manufactured between February 27, 2022, and August 23, 2024. Specifically, the following models are affected:

A total of 74,579 ID. Models and 19,452 Cupra Born vehicles are included in the recall. Within Germany, 22,182 Volkswagen-brand vehicles and 5,976 Cupra-brand vehicles are affected.
